This placeholder is meant to host a coding sequence or CDS, namely a portion of a gene's DNA or RNA, composed of exons, that encodes for a protein.
DNA Insulator 0179 (QR5CKKL)
Please log in to start working with this construct
This Biomodule is a synthetic sequence that acts as insulator and can be conveniently used as spacer between two adjacent biomodules/operons or any two functional elements. The DNA insulator contains:
- 3 consecutive stop codons in all 6 reading frames, and
- 2 strong complementary sequences that act as RNA polymerase terminators.
The DNA insulator has been designed not to interfere with plasmid propagation.
