The parts form a set of T7 terminators with graduated strength, based on the publication Temme et al., 2012 T7 Terminator 1, SBa_000583, is the weakest terminator and T7 Terminator 8, SBa_000588, is the strongest terminator in this set. The T7 terminator library was diversified as follows: TANNNAACCSSWWSSNSSSSTCWWWCGSSSSSSWWSSGTTT. Terminator strength is measured using a reporter plasmid containing GFP and mRFP, separated by the terminator to be measured.
