PLacIq
LacIq is a mutated variant of the lacI promoter found in Escherichia coli. The lacIq mutated promoter varies from the original lacI promoter sequence by 1 base within the -35 consensus (GCGCAA in lacI promoter; GTGCAA in lacIq) making it stronger. The promoter carries the sequence ranging from -35 up to nucleotide in position -1 from transcription start site.
